Panchayat Samiti (junior) College, Dharmapura named after the Panchayat samiti (jr.) college.Block of suliapada, is situated on the Mahanti Nai Mohabila at the outskirt of Mohabila. The Mahabila village of Mayurbhanj surrounded by dense forest on the south & a sylvan surrounding on the other side the college bears a solitary look most befitting for a centre of higher education. Though late by the popular will and craze for higher education, college was established in the year 1988.

     The long cherished dream of this locality ultimately materialized by the active co-operation of the people of Dharmapura, Mohabila, Suliapada,Kathogohola, Kusumi, Jambadi, Sigda Baghada.Guhaldiha e.t.c. in general and leadership of late Dibakara Deo Sardar, Sarat Ch.Barik, Late Narayan ch.Majhi, Late Gakul Ch. Tipiria, Sj. Bansidhara Dhal, Sj. Parmananda Naik,Sj.Gour Mohan Si, Sj.K ulamani Si, Sj.B hagabata Naik, Sj. Satyanath Sardar, Sj. Kali Charan Sathua, Sj. Mukunda Naik, in particular. The foundation stone of the college was laid by the than Sub-Collecter Sj. Gagan Bihari Dhal on 6th March 1988. Since then the College has not looked behind. On one side of the Block stands. To add to its beauty and serenity an original sal-forest stands adjacent to the college.

     The College started with 78 nos. of students 6 teachers & 10 nos. of nonteaching staff with only +2 Arts classes. Over the years continuous growth has now made the college a full fledged one with Arts & latter Science Stream had been added up in1994-95.It was golden year for the college by gifting the touch of Late Biju Patnaik,the son of the soil,the than Chief minister of odisha. At Present there are 512 nos. of students are reading in our College, 23 nos. of teaching staff and 25 nos. of Non-teaching staffs are rendering their services for the all round development of the institutions.

     The College has also obtained G.I.A-in 1996 and B.G.in 2009 development of the college with public contribution & assistance from The Ex-M.L.A.of JMM Sj.Bimal Lochan Das contributed a lot for the infrastructure of the college and the existing M.L.A. Maharaja Prabin Chandra Bhanj Deo also assured to bring this institution to its unit. The College has grown into a sizable institution catering to the need of a large numbers of students. The college has carved a rich in the field of education in Mayurbhanj District.

     The enthusiastic Public, Co-operative alumne & the Active G.B. & Sub-collecter, Baripada of the College extended their maximum co-operation in all positive thinking's for which we could be able to face the needs successfully upto 2012. The college is now preparing for extending its students strength full vigor and enthuiasm. In the meantime office automation and a good library is at our hand with the sincerity and enthusiasm of the members of the Staff,  We dream of a College which can fulfill the aspirations of the Public and students of the locality.
