About Panchayat Samiti Junior College, Hemgir, Sundargarh
Panchayat Samiti College, Hemgir was established in the year 1993 in the Hemgir Block Headquarter. It was initiated with the joined efforts of all the Gram Panchayat of Hemgir Panchayat Samiti. The College is situated in the midst of hill and mountain at Hemgir, the tribal block of Sundargarh District to provide higher education to the students of socially, economically and educationally backward class. The institution got its opening permission, temporary recognisation & affiliation in the year 1995. The college obtained permanent recognition and affiliation from the year 2003. In due course of time the long cherished dreams of the staff, well wishers and inhabitants of Hemgir locality was fulfilled by virtue of grant- in- aid order 2008 in which the college received grant- in- aid in the form of block grant.
