The College Panchayat Samiti College, Gurundia, Dist. Sundargarh was founded in the year 1994 and was affiliated C.H.S.E. Odisha, Bhubaneswar was formed in the year 1994. The College was primarily under private management. In the beginning, the College was housed in a rented building and later on, it was shifted to its own building.
In the year 1979 the College could not take in all the interested applicants for admission into 1st yr. +2 Arts. Classes. Firstly the college has a strength of 64 seats. Then it has been increased to 128 seated Now the sanctioned student strength of the College both 1st Year & 2nd Year is 256.
The College now imparts honours teaching in English, MIL (O), History, Political Science, Economics, Logic, Oriya (opt.) and the number of teaching and the non-teaching staff has also increased proportionately. The College have his own boys hostel building and to increase the strength of the College hostel is under process. Boy & Girl students from the surrounding districts get an opportunity to come and study here.
