Saheed Junior Mahavidyalaya Barapur Bhadrak in the undivided district of Balasore established on 5th June 1982 in the sweet memory of local martyrs in the Indian freedom struggle. The founders undertook revolutionary mission to set up this institution in the coastal rural area for spreading of higher education,
Initially, the infant institution was running its classes in the Barapur high school. But later on, it had its own campus and building. Though the institution was opened with one stream i.e. Arts, it baled to open +2 Commerce wing in the year 1994 and +2 Science in the year 1999. The +3 Arts was opened in the name of Barapur College in the year 1992.
The institution is marching forward since 1982. The students passing from this institution not only earring their livelihood but also serving the state of Odisha and the country as professional, skilled personnel, technocrat, politicians and so on.
