Binodini Mahila (+2) Mahavidyalaya, Banakati, Bangriposi Named Binodini Das, Local Educationist, is situated on the Bank of river Budhabalanga at Bangriposi, the biggest block of Mayurbhanj. The river Budhabalanga is on the south & N.H.06 on the other side. The college bears a solitary look most befitting for a centre of Higher Education.Though late, with the popular will and craze for Higher Education the college was established in the year 1992.

The long cherished dream of this locality ultimately materialized by the active co-operation of the people of Bangriposi in general and leadership of Laxmikanta Das, Ex- Headmaster, Bangriposi High School & Mr Maheswar Kar the Ex- Post Master in particular. The Foundation stone of the College was laid by Mr.  Laxmikanta Das on 12th May 1992. Since then the college has not looked behind. On one side of the town stands the temple of learning in sylvan surrounding sprawling around more than 03 acres of land.To add to its beauty and serenity an original tick-forest stands adjacent to the College.

The college started 64 nos. of students 7th nos.of teachers & 8th nos. of nonteaching staff with only +2 Arts classes having subject:- Political Science, Logic, Sanskrit, Education, & Home Science. At present there are 256 nos.of students are reading in our College, 10th nos.of teachings & 5th nos. of nonteachings staff are rendering their services for the all round development of the institutions. The college has carved a rich in the field of education in Mayurbhanj District.

The enthusiastic public, co-operative alumne & the Active G.B of the college extended their maximum co-operation in all positive thinking. In the meantime office automation and a good library is at our hand with the sincerity and enthusiasm of the members of the staff, we dream of a college which can fulfil the aspirations of the public and students of the locality.
