With response to the request of large number of parents whose children were reading in the Vikash Junior College Bargarh our management have decided to establish this organization in the name of Vikash Junior College, Sason to facilitate higher education to the needy ones of Sambalpur town and its periphery. Since its inception on 26.07.2010 it has been imparting education at +2 Sc. levels.
The college is recognized by Government of Odisha and yet to be affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.
This is a co-educational +2 Sc. institute with 128 sanctioned strength in each year.
Though it was established in 2010, till now it is managed by a Governing Body consisting of the trustees of Dasari Veer Raju and Gunnam Ram Chandra Rao memorial trust.
This year the college completed 1 year. The present student strength of the college is 191 with 13 teaching staff and 11 non-teaching staff members. Though the college is in its growing stage it has gone a long way with the help of managing trustees.
