Maa Kichakeswari College, Khiching, named after the presiding deity of Mayurbhanj is one of the leading Non-Govt. Colleges in the district of Mayurbhanj. Located amid the serene and spiritual ambience of Kichakeswari Temple bearing the testimony of ancient heritage, and peace and tranquility of nature. Surrounded by the neighboring Jharkhand State and Keonjhar District the institute has a unique strategically location attracting students cutting across the state boarder.

     The long cherished dream of this tribal dominated locality ultimately culminated by the sincere dedication of the general public in the year 1985. Since its day of inception in its relentless effort to disseminate Higher Education, the College has been striving hard for the all round development of students-intellectual, physical and moral. Apart from the academic excellence the institution, in order to inculcate the value of discipline, humanity and environment consciousness is having N.S.S, Y.R.C. and Eco Club. The college was affiliated to CHSE, Odisha for the session 1989-90 in +2 Arts Stream and subsequently the +2 Science stream was added in the session 2009-10, with due recognition from the Govt. of Odisha, Department of Higher Education.
