Lakhiram Agrawal (Junior) College, Behera was founded by the bonafied effort of the people of Socio-economically poor 'Dandpat' area in the year 1993. But it has got opening permission for establishment from the Govt. in 1999 in +2 Arts stream with subjects Eng, MIL (O), Pols. Science, Eco. Opt - Odia, His, by seats in each subject. In the same year the college has got its recognization as well as affiliated C.H.S.E. Odisha. The college was running in a private building in the Marbadi Dharmasala and it is proud of having independent building of its own with attached playground at Kamal Vihar, Behera. It is now under private management with its dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff. Especially the poor students of around 20k.m. are getting opportunity to study here.
