About Shrama Shakti College Birmitrapur Sundargarh
The Long-felt need for higher Education to the poor bonafied SC/ST student in the Tribal Boarding of Odisha & Jharkhand Border area and eradication of the educational darkness among the Tribals the idea for starting a college in this place was given a definite shape by the founder President of Governing Body Sri. B.B. Parida, educationist and District Magistrate, Sundargarh in the year 1979. For building a developed country, it is duty of the Government to, give higher education to the poorer section of the society. Our aim is to giving higher education to the poor students in a minimum fee for bringing them in the mainstream of the nation builbing. The institution pledges gratitude to its founder Secretary Sri. Brundaban Rath, Tashildar, Kuarmunda, whose untiring endeavour was responsible for the birth of the college and also pledges gratitude to workers of B.S.L. Co. Ltd of Birmitrapur for their one day salary contribution in starting this college in a remote tribal area like Birmitrapur.
