About Samaleswari College Barabazar Sambalpur

Some of the educationally conscious citizen of the locality established Samaleswari College to facilitate higher education to the needy ones of Sambalpur town and its periphery. Since its inception it has been imparting education at +2 level. Initially the college was functioning in the Badabazar Boy's U.P. School. But in the year 2000 it shifted to the newly constructed building.

     The college is permanently recognized by Government of Odisha and also permanently affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

     This is a co-educational +2 institute with 128 sanctioned strength in each year.

     Though it was established in 1991, till now it is managed by a Governing Body duly approved by the Regional Director of Education (RDE), Sambalpur.

     This year the college completed 20 years. The present student strength of the college is 256 with 09 teaching staff and 07 non-teaching staff members. Though the college is in its growing stage it has gone a long way with the help of generous donors who have been donating time and again for survival of the institution.

     Let us work hard by which the institution will be able to create a milestone in the field of education by catering to the all-round needs of the society.
