About Regional Junior College Podia Malkangiri

Regional Junior College was found on 03/08/1995 under the munificent patronage of Sri Nabin Madkami, President G.B. the Zilla Parisad Malkangiri his active colleagues, the local tribal people and the local workers. The College went on growing in it strength in all directions under the continuous and active guidance of Sri N.Raghava Rao, K. Debendra Rao, Md. Farooq, S. Satyanarayan Majhi, Ranganath Madhi, Sarpanch, Smt. Naka Subhadra of Podia.

     During the following years the college went through many ups and downs. But the Managing Committee led by like Sri Nabin Madkami, Sri N. Raghav Rao, fought bravely putting their best efforts into it. All these efforts borne fruit and a new glorious chapter in the history of the College started when the Govt. of Odisha accorded final concurrence for opening of +2 Arts from the session 1998-99.

     The College entered into yet another era of its history in the year 2009 when it received Block Grant 40% from the Dept. Of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. The part played by Sri N. Raghava Rao Secretary, College committee and Sri Paramananda Mahapatra Principal I/C, in this connection will be gratefully remembered by the future generations of teachers and students.

     The College with its present academic prospects and reputation looks forward for a glorious future.
