Kishorenagar junior College was established in the year1983 with the help and fully Co-operation of the local elites and some benevolent persons of Kishorenagar Panchayat Samit,Angul,Orissa area. In the beginning it imparted I.A. class with 128 seats in kishorenagar High school campus .In 1991 it shifted to its own building spreading over ten Acres of land.
Kishorenagar junior college is recognized by the Government of Orissa and secondary education odisha from the session 1987-88.to impart education for +2 courses in Arts. Then according to the public demand & interest +2 Commerce streams was introduced in the year 2007/08 with an in take capacity of 64 seats. Now the present student strength is about 400.The college is enjoying full aided status since 1994.The sub collector Athamallik and the principal are the Ex-Officio president and Secretary of the G.B respectively and discharging all the power and functions of the G.B. The college has 8 Teaching Staff and 10 Non-Teaching Staff.
The college is in its growing stage ,It has to strive hard to become one of the famous institutions of the State as well as a burning desire cherishing in the local mind of the people to open Science stream . All of us most worked together and co-operate with the administration to make our dream a real one.
