jagannatha Mahavidyalaya, Ashoknagar,Batto,Keonjhar Orissa. Lord Jagannath is the symbol of love, peace, botherhood & intigration. Our college is named after Lord Jagannath the creater of the Universe. Since long after independence there was no institution in this area for higher study until 1983. By the sincere efforts of some enthusiastic noble souls of this area the long cherished dream of the people blossomed in to reality by the establishment of this College in the year 15/08/1983.
The institution has expanded in all possible directions providing teaching facility in +2 Arts & +2 Science streams. Today in the 29th year of existance there are 600 hundred students, 14 teaching and 20 non-teaching number of staffs.
On one end flows the holy river Baitarani while on the other spreads cashew jungle. The establishment of this Jagannath mahavidyalaya has not only added new dimensions to the aspiration of the people of the area, but it has also facilitated the spread of education to every corner of this remote area. Spread of the light of education & academic excellence is the motto of the teachers of this college.
