Trupti Women's College, Basudevpur, the first women's College in the Basudevpur Block and second Women's College in the district of Bhadrak, is established in the year 1983. It is recognized by the Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to CHSE, Odisha. It also imparts education in +3 Arts which is recognized by the Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. The College is registered under 2 (f), 12 (b) of U.G.C. in the year 2008. The College is surrounded by Maa Budhi Mangala of Radhaballavpur in the west, Lord Baldev of Gud in the north, Lord Prasannadev of Basudevpur in the east and Maa Ankudeswari of Binayakpur in the South. It creats a spiritual atmosphere which helps intellectual development of the students. The college is only 12 kms from Jamujhadi which touches National Highway No.5 and is close to the Jamujhadi-Dhamara port and Inner Wheeler Island.

     The college imparts teaching in +2 Arts and in +3 Arts. It is a pioneer institution in spreading higher education among the girls students of remote areas of the Basudevpur Block. It adpots U.G.C. Course patterns of F.M. University, Balasore having Hons. Teaching facilities in History, Education and political Science with 16 seats each. The sanctioned strength of +2 Arts is 256 and that of +3 Arts is 128.

     The College provides infrastructural facilities including class rooms, common rooms, computer rooms, Toilets for the staff and students. There is water supply facility, playground having facilities for inter college Football, Volleyball, Kho Kho, Kabadi tournaments. The college has also a sophisticated Library with well furnished reading room for the students.
