The Govt. Women's  Jr. College, Titilagarh Orissa was established on 27th July, 1993, inaugurated by the Hon'ble Biju Pattanaik, the-then Chief Minister of Odisha. The college has been functioning in the building-complex of the Area Education Society, Titilagarh. Ever since its inception, it has been imparting teaching to girls students at +2 Art's level only. Besides, the building-complex donated by the Area Education Society, today we have added two more buildings to the existing complex. In addition, there is a watchman's quarter on the college premises. For cultural activities we have constructed a dramatic pendal in front of the main building. The college having a total area of A2-10 is surrounded by a boundary wall. The college premises is dotted with a large number of plants and trees creating a congenial ambience for both learning and teaching activities. In both 1st yr. & 2nd yr. Classes the seats have been filled up in the recent past. The college imparts teaching in seven subjects, viz; English, MIL(O), History, Political Science, Economics, Home Science and Odia (opt). The college has a relatively sound Library which contains most of the required text as well as reference books for the staff and students. We have a well equipped SAMS LAB that is being looked after by a suitable DEO.
