The college was established in the year 2010. Biju Patnaik Junior Science College, Badagada, Ganjam recognized by the Govt. of Odisha, Department of Higher Education and affiliated to CHSE, Odisha. Biju Patnaik Junior Science college is located in a Scheduled area and rural background. This is the only one college in the entire area. The strength of the Girl Students are more than the boys.
The college has streams like Arts and Sixty-four (64) students strength. The affiliated optional subjects in +2 Arts. As per the Govt. instruction the teaching of Yoga and Environmental Education has been introduced for all the students in order to develop Physical, Mental and Social character.
