About Barihapur  College

The Long-felt need for higher Education to the poor bonafide students in the area and eradication of the educational darkness among the backwards and poors, keeping in the mind "AN EDUCATED CITIZEN CAN CHANGE THE NATION", the idea for starting a college in this place was given a definite shape by the founder President of Governing Body Sri Dukhabandhu Behera and founder secretary Sri Rabi Narayan Sahoo educationist, eminent political leader, in the year 1992." For building a developed country, it is duty of the Government to give higher education to the poorer section of the society. Our aim is to give higher education to the poor students in a minimum fees for bringing them to the mainstream of the nation building. The institution pledges gratitude to its former presidents as well as secretary Sj. Rabi Narayan Sahoo, whose untiring endeavour was responsible for the birth of the College and for his valuable suggestions for strengthening the College.
