Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science, first of its kind in western Odisha, combined coaching with teaching to give a coaching based education to +2 Science students. Initially started with 70 students in the year 2000 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English & MIL. The Institution has grown from strength to strength and today stands at 192 seats.

     Keeping in view the latest demands in education Electronics, Statistics, Biotechnology were added in 2004 & Information Technology in 2008 to the exiting curriculum.

     The Institution provides Proctorial System, the system makes it possible for the teacher / proctor to know, judge and solve problems of even the most timid and inherent students. Tutorial and doubt clearing classes for better academic progress. The institute believes in one to one interaction with students with prompt and timely action for solving of problems and removal of bottleneck abstracting progress.

     Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science registered, recognized by the Department of Higher Education, Odisha and permanently affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

This is a co-educational +2 institute with 192 seats in Science stream.

     Though it was established in 2000, till now it is managed by a Governing Body duly approved by the Regional Director of Education (RDE), Sambalpur.

     This year the college completed 12 years. The present student strength of the college is 192 with 17 teaching staff and 10 non-teaching staff members. Though the college is in its growing stage it has gone a long way with the help of generous donors who have been donating time and again for survival of the institution.
