Nalco Nagar Regional College, Nalconagar, was established in the year 1993 with the help co-operation of the Nalco Nagar Owners Association and the local cities of Kulad village, Nalconagar town and Kulad Gram Panchayat. In the beginning it iparted instruction in +2 Arts class with 64 seats without taking permission of the Higher Education, Odisha functioning in its own ca,pus spreading over Ac1.42 Dec of Govt. land till under process vide lease case No. 53/09 2010. Besides its, the college has its own landed property of Ac. 3.29 Dec recorded in the name of the college. It is a half kilometer away from Nalconagar Town.

The college is recognized by the Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to council of Higher Secondary Education, BBSR from the session 2000-2011 to impart instruction for +2 course in Arts  Eng, Odia, Eco-32 seats, Pol. Sc, Logic and History. The college is purely un-aided institution and running over temporary recognition in every year by the Higher Education, Odisha. The College have doesn't have required land of 05 Acres and Govt. Approved Governing Body. The college is still run by the local governing body I.e Secretary, President discharging all the powers and functions of the Governing Body. 

The institution seems stationery in spite of all hard works done by both the teaching and non teaching staff of the College. It is a promise to make it a good academic institution if no hurdles come in the way of the College.
